Simply ship your t-shirts to Outlaw Leathers and in less than three months, your memories will be preserved and transformed into a beautiful and unique t-shirt quilt. Each t-shirt quilt is as unique as its owner.
Quilt Specifications
You supply your favorite t-shirts and we create an heirloom you can treasure for years.With standard 2" sashing (fabric that separates the t-shirts on the top of the quilt):
12 or 16 tshirts will make a good size throw.
20 t-shirts will cover a twin size bed.
24 t-shirts will cover a twin size bed and hang over the foot of the bed a bit.
25 t-shirts will cover a double size bed.
30 t-shirts will cover a double bed and hang over the foot of the bed a bit.
36 t-shirts will cover a queen size bed.
42 t-shirts will cover a king size bed.
T-shirt quilts can be made to your size specifications by adjusting the size of the sashing. The squares cut from the t-shirts are usually 12" or 15".
Without sashing, more t-shirts can be added to your quilt. Call or email for more details.
Oversized or irregular shaped squares are subject to an additional charge.
The fronts and backs are included from special t-shirts, sweatshirts, and jerseys that you've collected from rides, sports, college, high school, NASCAR, rock concerts or even flannel shirts!
A reinforcement backing is fused to each square and the t-shirt quilt is then assembled using light-weight batting. The sashing (fabric that separates the t-shirts on the top of the t-shirt quilt) is chosen to complement your tshirts. You may choose the color or leave it up to us. We use only high quality, pre-washed fabrics. The t-shirt quilts are then hand quilted around each t-shirt block to preserve the original look of the shirts.
Small holes or tears can be repaired. Stains or irregularities are left alone - imperfections add character and make it even more unique.
